These are the official Rules for the WWE Section. It is in your best interest to follow them.
1) Bumping old topics back up to the top
When you respond to a thread, try and make sure that it's not older than seven days old. There is a reason for this, because if we have topics that are brought back from a week ago, or even longer, it serves as no purpose and just clutters things up, when it's unnecessary. The information in the thread is usually out of date anyway. Anything that will relate or by important for an extended period of time will be pinned.
2) Double Posting
A double post is what it means: a user has posted twice in a row. To avoid this, use the edit button. Double posting is a form of spamming.
3) Duplicate threads
Again a duplicate thread is exactly what is sounds like. Don't start a thread that contains information that has already been given in another thread. Often times this happens when a popular news article is in the rounds and everyone feels that they need to be the one to "break" the news first, so they generally post the thread without even checking to see if it's been posted already or not.
PLEASE USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION TO CHECK FOR THREADS OF DUPLICATION.
Duplication threads are unnecessary and only clutter up the forums even more, so avoid doing it.
4) Smackdown! Spoilers
A couple things about this forum and posting new threads in it.
1. When you post spoilers about the show, put SPOILER in the title. DO NOT write the actual spoiler in the thread title. You are doing nothing but breaking the rules and pissing people off. Do not do it.
2. LOOK to see if spoilers were already posted.
3. WWE is a US based company. Even though Smackdown airs in different times around the world, it airs in the US on Fridays. So that means that UNTIL 10PM Eastern Time (GMT -5) on Friday, all threads regarding what happened during the event is considered a SPOILER. Afterwards it is results and you can then put the main point in the thread in the title. But not beforehand.
THIS is your formal warning.
Any duplicated threads will be closed with no questions asked.
As soon as Smackdown! spoilers become available and are posted, they are stickied for everyone to read. You are to discuss anything pertaining to the upcoming Smackdown! that involves spoilers in that thread ONLY. Any other Smackdown! spoiler result threads will be closed without warning.
4) Flaming
A "flame" is when you insult someone. Here we try to have a community where you can freely express your views without too much moderation, but at the same time we do not want your views if it can offend another member. Thus, if you flame someone outside of the Rants forum, you are risking being banned. Now, we do not read EVERY single post on the forum, but we try. If a flame is nothing to do with race, sexuality, family members, or threats (such as killing) chances are it's probably not a bad insult. Remember, try to keep all your "flames" in the Rants forum.
Sometimes a debate can get a bit heated and that's perfectly understandable. It's when people start to insult one another and completely ruin the whole discussion with needless bashing of other members. Plain and simple, keep that kind of behavior in the rants section.
If you don't, then you risk having your thread CLOSED.
5) Reviews of Raw, ECW and WWE PPVs
If you wish to post a show review on Raw, ECW or WWE PPVs, then you must utilize the Discussion threads to do so. You will find these stickied in the appropriate section during the times that they are to be aired.
The Raw discussion thread is generally posted about 6-2 hours before the show airs and is no longer stickied about 6 - 12 hours after it goes off the air. This should give you ample time to post your thoughts on the show and discuss what you need to talk about.
The same goes for other Discussion threads.
6) Advertising
Advertising websites is prohibited in posts and new threads. Anyone who makes a post JUST to advertise a website will have that website URL banned. (To clarify, if the URL to the site is not needed and you can post the contents, don't try to force users to go to that URL.) This means that everytime you post or try to link to that website (in a post or signature), it will appear as an asterisk.
However, you may place a link to a website in your signature, providing it does not break the signature rules. If, however, a website is blocked, you may not try to place an image or text linking to the website, and your banner or avatar may not include the URL to that website. Any user trying to bypass our system will be banned.
7) Dream Cards and Booking your own Show.
Occasionally, I see someone posting a new thread on the ways that they would book a particular show. Or certain dream matches on a certain PPV that they would like to see... or how a show would be booked if they had it their way.
This is why we have the "If you were incharge" section for. You can book your own shows, have them reviewed and even post your own dream cards.
8) No Who Would Win threads
Since matches are pre-determined by Vince McMahon and the writing staff, there is no actual way for us to determine who would win a match. You may discuss who you think could have the potential to win a match in your opinion, but you must NOT make a thread clearly indicating... i.e. Who would win in a match between The Rock and Shawn Michaels.
If you're talking about a current storyline and are having some discussion, then that's different.
A thread for the sole purpose of trying to determine the outcome of a match is impossible to do, therefore, it is NOT permitted.
That is it for now, follow the rules and we'll get along just fine
